SILLERYChampagne François Secondé · Grand Cru

The domaine

Champagne François Secondé

Récoltant-manipulant · Sillery Grand Cru · Montagne de Reims

The house was founded by François Secondé. Having left school at fourteen, he worked as a vineyard labourer before buying his first vines in 1972. By 1976, with his wife Anne-Marie, he was producing his own Champagne. The domaine grew to some 5.5 hectares, primarily in Sillery, with parcels in Mailly-Champagne, Puisieulx and Verzenay.

He made it — and the domaine remains — the only house still bottling pure Sillery Grand Cru under the village name. As a récoltant-manipulant, it grows its own grapes and makes and bottles its own wine.

The estate today

The estate is now managed by Jérôme Groslambert, associé gérant and majority owner since February 2024. An oenologist, he has been with the estate since 2009. He worked alongside the late François Secondé and now carries his wines forward.

The signature of Sillery

Sillery’s signature is power with chalk and tension: between the richer Pinots of the southern Montagne and the line of the Côte des Blancs. Rarity is the arithmetic of a single small domaine in a 92-hectare village.
